Textured Collage

Textured Collage began on my studio table as a scatter of torn papers, paint-stained scraps, and handwritten fragments I wasn't ready to throw away. I started layering them onto canvas, burying and revealing shapes under veils of acrylic, until a lively rhythm of color and texture emerged.

This mixed media piece rewards close viewing: raised edges catch the light, translucent layers hint at what lies beneath, and subtle marks invite the eye to travel across the surface. It feels almost like a city seen from above, or a collection of memories pressed into one frame.
